Connecting Purpose: The Story Behind TBI Times and the TBI Med Legal Conference

The TBI Med Legal Conference was born out of a deep commitment to help traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivors and their families. Drawing on extensive experience in TBI litigation and passion for advocacy, a collaborative platform was created where medical and legal professionals could come together to bridge the gap between medicine and law.
Over the years, the TBI Med Legal Conference has grown into a premier three-day, four-track event that unites leading experts from around the country. Its unique interdisciplinary format empowers attorneys with medical insight and equips healthcare professionals with a better understanding of the legal complexities surrounding TBI. Through cutting-edge research, real-world case studies, and practical strategies, the conference advances both knowledge and advocacy—ensuring stronger representation and improved outcomes for those affected by TBI.

From this foundation of collaboration and education emerged TBI Times—a publication dedicated to extending the mission of the conference year-round. TBI Times blends medical, scientific, and legal perspectives to inform, support, and empower the TBI community. Each issue highlights new research, survivor stories, and expert insights, continuing the conversation beyond the conference stage and fostering a space for ongoing learning, connection, and hope.
